The Light of the World Church, Kapaa
Listen to the Word of God, a weekly inspiring message to help advance your spiritual life.
We gather in church regularly to worship God, encourage one another, and grow together in faith. In Acts 2:46-47, the early believers met daily:
“And day by day, attending the temple together and breaking bread in their homes, they received their food with glad and generous hearts, praising God and having favor with all the people. And the Lord added to their number day by day those who were being saved.” (Acts 2:46-47, ESV)
Coming to church helps us stay devoted to God’s teaching and fellowship:
“And they devoted themselves to the apostles’ teaching and the fellowship, to the breaking of bread and the prayers.” (Acts 2:42, ESV)
We are also called to encourage one another:
“And let us consider how to stir up one another to love and good works, not neglecting to meet together, as is the habit of some, but encouraging one another, and all the more as you see the Day drawing near.” (Hebrews 10:24-25, ESV)
Daily church attendance reflects a heart eager to seek God, build community, and grow spiritually.

The Light of the World Church, Kapaa
Teenagers and young adults need guidance in the difficult times and world we live in.
Young people face many pressures, temptations, and uncertainties. God gives them wisdom, strength, and purpose.
“Remember also your Creator in the days of your youth, before the evil days come and the years draw near of which you will say, ‘I have no pleasure in them.’” (Ecclesiastes 12:1, ESV)
God provides guidance in a confusing world:
“Trust in the LORD with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make straight your paths.” (Proverbs 3:5-6, ESV)
He also offers peace and courage:
“I have said these things to you, that in me you may have peace. In the world you will have tribulation. But take heart; I have overcome the world.” (John 16:33, ESV)
In these challenging times, young people need God to lead them, strengthen them, and give them lasting hope.

Children also benefit from listening to the word of God.
Bringing children to church helps them learn about God, build strong moral foundations, and grow in faith.
“Train up a child in the way he should go; even when he is old he will not depart from it.” (Proverbs 22:6, ESV)
God’s Word helps shape their hearts and minds:
“All Scripture is breathed out by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, and for training in righteousness.” (2 Timothy 3:16, ESV)
Jesus Himself welcomed children:
“Let the little children come to me and do not hinder them, for to such belongs the kingdom of heaven.” (Matthew 19:14, ESV)
Church helps parents guide their children toward a life built on God’s truth and love.

The Light of the World Church, Kapaa
There is a sea of wisdom in the Bible that can help us navigate in the challenges life throws at us.
Studying the Bible helps us know God’s truth and avoid misunderstanding.
“Do your best to present yourself to God as one approved, a worker who has no need to be ashamed, rightly handling the word of truth.” (2 Timothy 2:15, ESV)
God’s Word gives wisdom and direction:
“Your word is a lamp to my feet and a light to my path.” (Psalm 119:105, ESV)
Correct interpretation keeps us from being led astray:
“But test everything; hold fast what is good.” (1 Thessalonians 5:21, ESV)
By studying carefully, we grow in faith and stay rooted in God’s truth.

Marriage takes work and communication let the spirit of God guide you to be a better husband, wife, father, mother, son or daughter.
Marriage is a gift from God that reflects His love and requires commitment, love, and grace.
“Therefore a man shall leave his father and his mother and hold fast to his wife, and they shall become one flesh.” (Genesis 2:24, ESV)
Husbands and wives are called to love and respect one another:
“However, let each one of you love his wife as himself, and let the wife see that she respects her husband.” (Ephesians 5:33, ESV)
Love in marriage follows Christ’s example:
“Husbands, love your wives, as Christ loved the church and gave himself up for her.” (Ephesians 5:25, ESV)
Working on marriage strengthens the family, honors God, and brings lasting joy.
